Shows and movies from A&E Networks’ portfolio of channels, including Lifetime and A&E, will appear on Disney+ next month in the United States.
As reported by What’s on Disney Plus?, next month’s schedule includes shows such as Dance Moms, Ghost Hunters, History’s Greatest Mysteries, and Ice Road Truckers.
Programming from A&E Networks hit the Canadian version of Disney+ last November.
While Disney has mostly dedicated its namesake streaming service to content from its main brands such as Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel, outside the U.S. they also feature general entertainment American viewers are used to seeing on Hulu.
There does seem to be a programming shift, however. In recent months, Disney has added more content geared towards adults to the American Disney+, such as Dancing with the Stars and the Deadpool movies.
Whether this is a sign that Disney will eventually combine more of the family-friendly content from Disney+ with the general entertainment content from Hulu into a single streaming service remains to be seen.
