Frndly TV Reaches Over 700,000 Subscribers

Frndly TV, the live TV streaming service aimed at cord cutters on a budget, has announced today that they have reached over 700,000 subscribers. Although the cost of streaming continues to rise, they have grown their subscriber base while tripling their channel lineup with only a $1 a month price increase.

This marks approximately 40% growth since November 2021 when they announced they reached 500,00 subscribers

It’s an impressive feat for the small, independently-owned business based in Denver, CO that isn’t tied to a major media conglomerate. Compared to their competition, they have reported higher rates of media consumption (viewer engagement per subscriber is up 10%) and lower churn.

Reactivations are up 33% this year versus 2021 and annual subscriptions now make up 22% of Frndly TV subscriptions.

This new data puts them toe-to-toe with their nearest competitor, Philo, who had 800,000 subscribers according to their last publicly-available numbers from 2020.

Frndly TV provides access to over 40 live channels and 10,000 on-demand shows and movies with plans starting at $6.99 a month. Their channel lineup includes Hallmark Channel, History, Lifetime, A&E, Great American Family, Game Show Network, INSP, The Weather Channel, and others.
