The first Royal Coronation in 70 years will occur this weekend, which will be the cause of much interest around the world. Prince Charles will formally be crowned as King Charles with Queen Camilla standing next to him, promising a huge spectacle for all. Looking to tune in using various streaming services? You have options.
Free Options
For those not looking to pay, or don’t have access to one of the paid Live TV Apps, there are several different options. BBC News and and the BBC iPlayer (depending on your region) will both have a full and free live stream available for worldwide access.
Many of the mainstream news sites, ABC, CBS, and NBC News all have 24/7 live coverage on their respective YouTube Channels, and will certainly be covering the Coronation. In fact, the majority of official journalistic YouTube channels (e.g. The New York Times, Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, etc.) will be offering streaming coverage.
Social media savvy users can engage as well, as many news outlets including traditional print publications like The New York Times have confirmed special live streaming coverage on their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok Pages.
Paid Options
For a more streamlined experience, using one of the many Live TV streaming services will offer a variety of options. That will particularly depend on your own preferences (which we compare here) but many of these will increase your options.
For starters, any of them with access to local stations will offer the local news feed of the Coronation. ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox have all confirmed to be offering special Coronation Day coverage beginning at 5:00 AM EST in the states.
Those who don’t have access to local stations but the national networks still have options. Both CNN and Fox News have confirmed to be airing special coverage including the Coronation beginning at 5:00 AM EST.
Whichever you choose, those wanting to tune in to see this historic event will have a variety of options. Whether you go for a free streaming option or a premium live tv service, you’ll have your pick.
