The streaming service that combines content from HBO Max and Discovery+, dubbed “Max,” is now here. Alongside the launch are new shows set to come out on Max throughout May and June. Below we share with you the biggest movies & shows coming to Max.

New Movies and Shows coming to Max at Launch
Of course, two of the biggest things dropping shortly after the launch of the new app are the series finales of Succession and Barry on May 28. That night will also see the season finale of Somebody Somewhere. As for launch week, there are new episodes of White House Plumbers (5/22), a new episode of The Other Two (5/25), and the finale of Love & Death (5/25). Did you miss Shazam! Fury of Gods in theaters? It's hitting Max on 05/23.
Some of the new stuff dropping on launch week includes a brand new stand-up comedy special in Sarah Silverman: Someone You Love (5/27), a documentary Being Mary Tyler Moore (5/26), and the highly anticipated movie starring Sydney Sweeney, Reality (5/29). Some new stuff from Discovery's Deadliest Catch (5/23), HGTV's Home Town Takeover (5/23), and TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise (5/29).
New Movies and Shows coming to Max in June
The Idol (6/4)
In what is expected to be one of the most-discussed summer series, The Idol is hitting Max on June 4. The show comes from the mind of Euphoria creator Sam Levinson who teams up with The Weeknd and Reza Fahim to create the show that follows a cult leader who enters a relationship with a rising pop star.
The Idol stars Lily-Rose Depp in the lead role of Jocelyn, with The Weeknd playing Tedros, the cult leader. The series debuted at the Cannes Film Festival to negative reviews and controversy, but one thing's for sure- people are talking about it!
AEW Collision (6/17)
On June 17, All Elite Wrestling will debut a new two-hour show every Saturday on TNT at 8 pm EST. The show features talent, including Miro, Thunder Rosa, Samoa Joe, and Andrade El Idolo. Of course, if you follow the wrestling circle, rumors have it that this is the show that CM Punk will return and be a part of. With the new show, AEW All Access, their behind-the-scenes look at AEW will move to Max.
The Righteous Gemstones, Season 3 (06/18)
Everyone can rejoice as we have the return of one of the funniest shows on TV, The Righteous Gemstones. The series follows the famous televangelist Gemstone family led by lead pastor Dr. Eli Gemstone, who is trying to navigate life while his children are behind the scenes, causing chaos. If you haven't watched this show yet, you have time to binge-watch the first two seasons before the latest season drops on June 18.
And Just Like That, Season 2 (06/22)
Sex and the City fans can rejoice. Yesterday it was announced yesterday that season 2 of And Just Like That is returning on June 22. The eleven episode second season will debut with two episodes. You'll be able to catch up with Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda on all their latest adventures in New York City weekly on Thursdays.
