10 Hulu Comedy Movies to Watch Right Now

There is nothing better after getting home from a hard day of work than plopping on the couch and throwing on a comedy movie. Of course, with the wide range of streaming options, you struggle to find something to watch. So we've compiled a list of ten of the best comedy movies you can watch on Hulu now.

Shall I Stream It is viewer-supported and provides honest reviews. To support this work, some links feature partners where commission is earned for purchases.

The Internship

Personally, The Internship is hands down one of the most underrated comedies of all time. The film follows two salesmen (Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson) who are caught in the middle of the switch to the world of digital. Because of this, the duo head to Google in an attempt to win an internship at the company.

The Cable Guy

The Cable Guy is one of the darkest and most twisted comedy thrillers that has ever been made. Ben Stiller directed the film (yes, that Ben Stiller), starring Jim Carrey as The Cable Guy, who is just seeking companionship in this lonely world from one of his customers Steven (Matthew Broderick).

50/50

Inspired by a true story, 50/50 follows the story of a man who finds out he has cancer, and the film follows his battle to beat the disease. Sounds like a good comedy, huh? Well, the pairing of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen takes this emotional story and provides some laughter along the way.

There's Something About Mary

The film is most notable for putting Cameron Diaz on the map where she stars as Mary, a woman Ted (Ben Stiller) was quite fond of while in high school. So, he hires a private investigator to hunt her down to get his second chance with her. This movie is a classic that is only funnier with every viewing.

Buffaloed

Buffaloed is like The Big Short of debt-collecting, which features an incredible performance by Zoey Deutch. The film was one of the hidden gems of 2019, and if you missed it, now is your time to fix that. It follows Peg (Deutch), a hustler trying to escape her hometown.

The Valet

This Hulu original came out in 2022 and followed a movie star who hires a parking valet to pose as her lover to cover for her relationship with a married man. Samara Weaving stars in the lead role as the movie star and Eugenio Derbez plays the valet guy posing as her man. While the film might have some of the same typical beats, the cast elevates it to a fun time.

White Men Can't Jump

I don't throw around the term “masterpiece” lightly, but White Men Can't Jump is indeed just that. You won't find very many better on-screen duos than Sidney Deane and Billy Hoyle, played by Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson. The two play some basketball hustlers who are trying to win money in the streets and in a tournament. Side note, Rosie Perez is a GEM in this one.

Think Like a Man

My love for Kevin Hart has no boundaries (Jumanji 2 is available on Hulu, too), but young Kevin Hart was a whole lot of fun. Think Like a Man follows four friends who turn the tables on their women when they find out they've been using Steve Harvey's relationship advice against them. An ensemble cast that will have you laughing for the entirety of its run time.

Big Time Adolescence

This coming-of-age story follows a teenager who isn't living up to his full potential due to the guidance of his best friend. The duo of Griffin Gluck and Pete Davidson have impeccable chemistry that will have you in tears from laughing and some of the emotional moments from the great script written by Jason Orley.

Happiest Season

Another Hulu Original film here with Happiest Season, and while it might not be the holiday season, it's never too early to get in the Christmas Spirit. The film has a hilarious ensemble cast that delights from start to finish.
